According to the article “Who’s the true
enemy of internet freedom-China, Russia, or the US?” by Morozov (2015), he argues
that the US should be given the same amount of criticism, if not more, Russia
and China have received over the issue of “internet freedom”. Some countries
are overly dependent on US technology companies as they are some of the most
efficient in the world. This led the US government to deem themselves as having
the power to access these countries’ information without their consent. This is
vividly shown using Microsoft and Ireland.
